HBA Orange County is pleased to announce its annual (2020) award winners: Karen Jimenea, Andrea Sampson and Monica Prokocki.
Karen Jimenea, HBA Orange County programming director at large, received the Leadership, Excellence and Dedication (LEAD) award, the highest honor an HBA volunteer can be given. Jimenea played a pivotal role enhancing the value of an HBA Orange County membership by leading the charge in creating fun, educational and stimulating events and keeping the momentum alive as these networking opportunities transitioned to a virtual environment due to the pandemic.
Andrea Sampson, HBA Orange County marketing director at large, received the Marie Curie award, bestowed upon an HBA volunteer who has led an innovation that has had a significant impact on the chapter or region. Sampson has helped put HBA Orange County on the map through creative marketing programs. Most notably, she has led efforts to drive excitement about the chapter events and has helped to create a sense of community among members.
Monica Prokocki, HBA Orange County membership and engagement director at large, received the Everest award, honoring an HBA volunteer who has achieved a significant “above-and-beyond” accomplishment. Under Prokocki’s leadership, HBA Orange County membership has grown 33 percent. She has not only helped to grow membership, but has also enlisted several new volunteers and has been diligent about member retention through value creation.
HBA Orange County formally congratulations these women who have made a tremendous impact in 2020.
