HBA Atlanta Appoints Jessica Hawkins as Director at Large Programming

HBA Atlanta is pleased to announce the addition of Jessica Hawkins to the executive board in the director-at-large programming. The board provides leadership to advancing the HBA’s purpose to further the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare.

Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge, ideas and enthusiasm to her position. Her experience in patient care and passion for the advancement of women leaders make her an exceptional match for this role. She volunteered with the HBA Atlanta programming committee as the operations coordinator and has been an active member of the HBA for two years.
 
Jessica currently serves as the manager of clinic operations for Winship Cancer Institute and the Department of Surgical Services supporting the plastic reconstructive surgery, colorectal surgery and surgical oncology divisions and also serves as interim administrator of operations supporting the surgical oncology division. Prior to this role, she’s held several leadership roles within the Emory Healthcare system. Jessica is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking and lives by the phrase “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” She regularly attends training sessions for LEAN Six Sigma, patient satisfaction, employee engagement and data analytics. She also trains staff across Winship Cancer Institute on telehealth and telecommuting workflows. She enjoys a good video game and Netflix binge and can be found in an arts and crafts class.
